MONASTRELL GROWS CLOSE TO THE Mediterranean Sea IN THE SOUTH EAST OF SPAIN. Monastrell needs long, hot and dry summers to achieve optimum ripening. The vines are planted in poor, sandy soil with pebbles on the surface and different proportions of limestone.
Bajel Pirata tries to express the essence of the Mediterranean, with its endless winemaking tradition, which starts with the Phoenicians, and a shared history across the sea.
